निबन्ध लेखन (Essay Writing)

A well-written Nepali essay (निबन्ध) demonstrates your ability to think clearly, organize ideas, and express them in proper language. This skill is heavily tested in Grade 11 exams across all streams.

निबन्धको संरचना (Essay Structure)

Every good Nepali essay has three parts:

१. भूमिका (Introduction)

Start with an engaging opening -- a quote (उखान/टुक्का), a question, or an interesting fact related to the topic. Then introduce the topic clearly.

Example for the topic "नेपालको प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य": "हिमाल, पहाड र तराईको अनुपम सुन्दरतालाई समेटेको देश नेपाल प्रकृतिको अनमोल उपहार हो।"

२. विषय विस्तार (Body/Development)

This is the main section where you develop your ideas in 3-4 paragraphs. Each paragraph should focus on one aspect of the topic.

For "नेपालको प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य":

• Paragraph on mountains and hills (हिमाल र पहाड)
• Paragraph on rivers and lakes (नदी र ताल)
• Paragraph on flora and fauna (वनस्पति र जनावर)

३. निष्कर्ष (Conclusion)

Summarize your main points and end with a thoughtful statement, a call to action, or a forward-looking thought.

Example: "प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य हाम्रो अमूल्य सम्पत्ति हो। यसको संरक्षण गर्नु हाम्रो कर्तव्य हो।"

भाषा शैली (Language Style)

• Use साहित्यिक भाषा (literary language), not casual/spoken Nepali
• Include उखान टुक्का (proverbs) where appropriate: "अगुल्टो सानो भए पनि लाखौँ भन्दा ठूलो"
• Use सुन्दर उपमा (similes/metaphors): "हिमालले चाँदीको मुकुट लगाएको जस्तो देखिन्छ"
• Avoid repeating the same words -- use synonyms (पर्यायवाची शब्दहरू)
